Junior Program's
With a curriculum developed by our Head Golf Professional, young golfers of all ages have the opportunity to develop and learn more about one of the fastest growing games in the country. A wellbalanced program of swings and course management education will provide each student with the tools necessary to perform on the next level. Young students ages 8 to 14 may participate and grow in this fun and competitive environment. Beginners to the more experienced young player all have much to gain from this exciting and educational opportunity. Junior Program Overview Each Clinic will consist of a 4-Day Program designed to educate each student about the basic principles of the golf swing in a fun and motivational environment. We strive to inspire each student to further their knowledge and enjoyment of the game. Students ages 8 to 14 will be given favorable student-teacher ratios to ensure a healthy balance between group and personalized levels of instruction. Program Benefits The basis of our instructional program will focus on individually developing each student’s game in the following areas: • Full-Swing Basics • Short-Game Essentials • On-Course Management • Golf Etiquette Each session will culminate with a graduation ceremony and barbecue luncheon on the final day of the program.
Clinic Dates Each session will consist of 4 days of instruction, half day 9 am-1 pm. We recommend that each student be dropped off no later than 8:55 am each day. The various group sessions are outlined below. Reservations for each session are on a first come-first served basis. To ensure a favorable student-teacher ratio, class sizes will be limited to 24 participants.
Facility Information Designed in 1955 by famed golf course architect William Follet Mitchell, the 18-hole, par 71 layout at Putnam National provides a challenging and inspired setting for players of all levels. In addition to the championship course, facility amenities include a short game practice green and turf hitting area.
